Overflow Kids exists to share God’s love, generate hope, and transform lives in the next generation!
Each Sunday, Overflow Kids gathers during our 9:15AM & 11AM service. You and your child can expect
to build relationships with consistent teachers and small groups, engage in exciting worship, and
age appropriate Scripture based lessons and activities!
We believe parents are the primary spiritual leaders of their children. So, here at Overflow Kids,
we are committed to equipping families with the information and tools they need to continue
discipling their children at home.
Check-In begins 20 minutes prior to the start of each service.
Our Hope Maker team is excited to welcome new families by helping you with registration at our Kids
Check-In Counter, hosting you to your children’s classrooms, and answering any questions you might
have.
At the conclusion of service, please make your way to your child’s classroom. To maintain optimum
security, all parents must present their parent tag at pick-up in order for their child(ren) to be
released to them.
Grab your parent cue or weekly devotional to continue learning and having Jesus conversations at home with your children!
Is your child asking questions about salvation and baptism?
We have a class designed to help answer your child’s questions about salvation and baptism in an
easy, age-appropriate way. Sign up below to find out more about our next opportunity!
Here at Overflow Church, we believe generosity is our privilege! And what a privilege it is to build
relationships in Overflow Kids as you invest in the lives of the next generation and plant seeds
that have the potential to transform hearts and minds for the Kingdom!
If you are interested in serving in Overflow Kids, fill out a Hope Maker Application below.
For our children’s safety, all Overflow Kids Hope Makers are background checked and interviewed
prior to serving.
If your child has an allergy, please be sure to let our check-in team know. Your
child’s allergy will appear on their nametag, and we also invite students with
allergies to wear a bracelet that will help the teachers be more aware of allergy
needs.
Snacks are offered during both services (walkers through 5th grade). Our walkers
have cheerios, while our Preschool through 5th grade students have a choice of
pretzels, cheez-its, goldfish, graham crackers, etc. We do have allergy friendly
snacks available to those that need them.
There are two opportunities for children to move up to the next classroom. When your
child turns three, a member of our Overflow Kids team will connect with
parents/guardians and work together to determine which classroom is the best fit for
your child; things that we consider during this conversation are if your child is
potty trained and if they are developmentally ready for a more structured
environment. Our nursery classroom is heavily free-play, while our preschool
classroom is more structured, offering storytime, crafts, games, worship, and more.
Your elementary child also has the opportunity to move up classrooms at the end of
their school year. Near the end of our traditional school year, we will celebrate
with our POP UP SUNDAY event after service. After POP UP SUNDAY, your child is
invited to move into the next grade level classroom. Parents will be notified prior
to this transition.
We always want to protect your child and others from sickness. While our rooms and
toys are cleaned regularly, for the protection of everyone, we ask you to keep your
child home if they have any of the following symptoms:
Fever
Persistent cough
Heavy congestion
Sore throat
Colored discharge from nose, eyes, or ears
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Skin rash or infection
If your child exhibits any of these symptoms while in Overflow Kids, we will contact
you to pick them up. Please make sure your child is symptom-free for a period of 24
hours before you bring them to Overflow Kids. Thank you for your understanding!
In Overflow Kids, we focus on one truth and one Bible story for an entire Sunday morning. While first and second service offer the same Bible story and truth, each may be presented differently through crafts, games, and activities.
Overflow Kids uses Orange Curriculum, including FIrst Look for infants through
preschool and 252 Basics for Elementary students.
First Look influences a child’s faith by combining theology and child development;
giving kids the first impression of their creator is what First Look is all about.
In First Look, we focus on three main truths: God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants
to be my friend forever. In our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, we want
kids to experience God’s love in a way that inspires a deeper faith!
252 Basics focuses on planting the following truths in each elementary child’s
heart: I can trust God no matter what. I need to make the wise choice. I should
treat others the way I want to be treated. These truths are based upon scripture
stated in Luke 2:52: Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
We want to ensure that each child hears and understands the Gospel: that we are
created in God’s image and He loves each one of us; that God has extended grace to
us through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, restoring us to right relationship
with Him; and in experiencing His grace, we are empowered to partner with God and
respond in gratitude and obedience to Him as we participate in the world around us.
252 Basics focuses on experiencing a love for God that will inspire deeper faith, a
love for themselves that will lead to wiser choices, and a love for others that will
grow strong relationships with peers, adults, and the world around them.
At Overflow, we believe parents and guardians hold the most powerful influence in
the spiritual development of their children. We are committed to walking alongside
you as you raise your child to know and love God and do our best to provide
resources so you can continue discipling your children at home.
