WHAT TO EXPECT

Check-In
Your child’s safety is important to us, and that is why we have all children (babies through 5th graders) check-in when they get here. Check-in starts 20 minutes before each service, look for Info Central in the lobby!

To check-in for the first time, look for the sign that reads "New Family Check-In." An Overflow Kids Team Member will register your family! First time registration may take 5-10 minutes. Once you are registered. You will move over to our self-check-in stations and check-in your child/children using your phone number. A name tag for your child will be printed, as well as a matching security parent tag. Hold on to this tag! You will need this to pick up your child from Overflow Kids at the end of service.

If your child has any allergies or special needs, please mention this to the team member who is checking your family in.

*Note: we realize that some families may have children with needs that don’t allow them to navigate stairs very easily. We are happy to work with your family’s needs. Please email us to discuss how we can help: info@overflowchurch.org

Time To Learn, Play and Grow!

Overflow Kids uses the Orange Curriculum for all of our classrooms which focuses on instilling Biblical truths in children of all ages through a variety of engaging activities.

Babies/Toddlers

Head straight to the nursery after check-in and follow the First Look Curriculum that teaches them that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Pre-K (3-5 years old)

Please check in your child and walk with them to the Pre-K classroom located upstairs. First Look Curriculum teaches them that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Elementary (K-5th grade)

Please check in your child and walk with them to their age specific room. There, they will hear the week’s Bible story, apply it to their lives, learn the month’s Bible verse, build relationships, and pray. They follow the 252 Basics Curriculum and learn that they need to make the wise choice, they can trust God no matter what, and they should treat others the way they want to be treated.

Check-Out

At the end of service, please make your way to your child’s classroom within 10 minutes to pick up your child. To maintain optimum security, all parents must present their parent tag at pick-up in order for their child(ren) to be released to them.

PARENTS

Parents are the primary spiritual leaders of their children, and our Orange Curriculum makes that easy! It is created with an emphasis on equipping you in continuing Sunday morning’s learnings throughout the week. Be sure you pick up your child’s monthly Parent Cue and utilize it throughout the month! K-5 children also have a weekly devotional they can take home with them.

Be sure to ask your child on the way home – “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn?”

FAQ

Each classroom is staffed with at least one adult who has been background checked and approved to work with children, and one youth leader.

In our nursery, we do not change diapers or take toddlers to the bathroom. You will be paged or sent a text to come and change your child’s diaper or take him or her to the bathroom. If your child needs any assistance, you will be notified.

We do serve snacks in our classrooms. The Nursery serves Cheerios every week. Our Pre-K and Elementary kids are served a variety of snacks, which will be posted on our Snack Sign by the check-in kiosks along with the original packaging for you to check ingredients if needed. If you do not want your child to eat the snack for any reason, please place an orange bracelet (located by kiosk) on your child's wrist.

Yes! For the health of your child and others we ask that you do not bring your child if he/she has had any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, green or yellow nasal drainage or an unexplained external rash. All volunteers agree to uphold the sick policy as well.

We do! We have a private nursing area located within our Nursery. The service is streamed to a TV in the Nursery so you won’t miss a minute of the service!
